Friends' Annual Meeting
September 4, 2008
The second annual Friends meeting is scheduled for Thursday, September 25th at 7:00pm. All prospective and current Friends members are welcome to attend. An overview of the Friends efforts for the past year will be given. In addition, election of several officers will be held. As a plus, Library staff member and local historian Alice Wagner will give a short talk about the history of Marengo Library's services with a question and answer session afterwards. Please join us!
Summer Reading Program a Great Success!

This year's Summer Reading Program has ended with a bang!
Our Summer Reading participants read for a grand total of 2,234 hours and read 5,821 books, which makes the Marengo-Union Public Library say "Great job everyone!"
Welcome to the Marengo-Union Library District

Your local library is changing its name!
Starting July 1st, 2008 the Marengo Public Library District will become the Marengo-Union Library District. This change was made by the Library Board to more accurately reflect the composition of the public in the District and to acknowledge the support for the District by the village of Union. The Library will change in name only - we'll continue to provide access to a wide range of materials, a variety of youth and adult programming and our friendly service.
