Holiday Closings

Spelling Bee!

Join the library’s cheering section on Thursday night at 7:00 p.m. (refreshments at 6:00 p.m.) at the 3rd Annual Corporate Community Spelling Bee at North Point Church in Winthrop Harbor.  See the “Spellbinders” defend their title, cheer for the library, and support a great community cause (CREW)!   This year’s Spellbinders are Luke Rathburn, Steffi Smith, and Shantal Taylor.

The Veterans History Project (VHP) collects and preserves the remembrances of American war veterans and civilian workers who supported them. These collections of first-hand accounts are archived in the American Folklife Center at the Library of Congress for use by researchers and to serve as an inspiration for generations to come.

E-resources at Info Hub can save you money!  Need to repair your car?  If you can’t do it yourself, use the rate calculator.  Select your vehicle’s year, make, model, and select Labor.  Enter your mechanic’s labor and diagnostic rates and get an approximate cost for repairs.
